Hi! I’m Melina McLarty, a University of Waterloo Systems Design Engineering student. I’m half way through 3rd year, and I’m absolutely passionate about what I’m studying. My program is coop, and this introduces the most exciting component of my life, the 4 month “switch ups”. Basically, every 4 months I switch between school and working. The jobs are fun, challenging, and often in a city outside of Waterloo. So far I’ve worked for The Ministry of Transportation of Ontario, Ford Motor Company, United Parcel Service, and IBM to see more check out my resume. Each job comes with new responsibilities, new co-workers, a new city and great new experiences. I’m currently in Palo Alto California for the summer working for vmware as an interaction designer. I will be headed back to Waterloo in September to finish up my 4 year degree.
